Bn Coffee Bar

After a successful startup phase where Bn established and expanded their presence in the Beirut cafe scene, they approached us for a full brand overhaul to realign their story, identity and core collaterals

THE CHALLENGE

With a distinctive bilingual logo that has garnered brand equity since their establishment, the question was posed to whether to stick with it or twist. Our recommendation was to stick, as this was really the only unique feature of their brand identity since inception, but it needed some love. We maintained the Arabic punctuation marks for continuity of brand equity and recognition, but chose a new typeface more representative of the brand, while creating cohesion with the alternating calligraphic line widths of the Arabic ’ن’.

The uplifted packaging line focused on creating storylines for each SKU, the coffee inside being sourced from various countries of origin.

Stylized maps, a color coded packaging system, and newly selected typography styles highlight the small batch, but modern positioning of the brand. The back of the packages revealed a newsletter style sticker, showcasing stories of local art shows, relevant news, and producer features.
